Thread: Spent about 4 hours with gssixgun learning how to hone

I have to thank people like Glenn and the others that have made this sport what it is today. I have spent many hours watching the videos and reading the different ones who have brought to light, the many nuances of the shaving experience. They are to be commended for their dedication and for volunteering their time and experience.

A Priceless education

I shaved with the razor last night and it was a dream compared to the Weck Jr I was using. I only shaved WTG as I do not have that many shaves under my belt yet. But the hair just seems to fall off my face.

Can't ever stress enough just how much you get when you can hook up with one of our experienced members locally or find the time to attend any of the Regional Get Togethers. Whether you're a beginner or just having some problems shaving or honing, getting hands on instruction just reduces the learning curve so much and then you can pass on what you learn to other folks.

Awesome post and experience. Def envious. Enjoy sr shaving and thanks to the honemiesters those vids helped me with my honing and getting my edges right.

I am on my second shave with that razor and i only have minor razor bumps. This is huge compared to cartridge shaving as I cannot shave two days in a row with those. It was no issue with my SR.

A big thanks again to all on this forum and even bigger thanks to Glen.

I have learned a lot just watching his Vids. You are one lucky guy to get 1 on1 for sure.

Oh and such a deal....his time and you only had to pull 5 stumps out of the garden ?
