Default Show and Tell: Torrey Barber Notch Rescue

I snagged this Torrey as apart of a lot. As you can see it was in rough shape. I haven't shaved with it yet but it honed up great. If it does shave great, I'm going to put some cherry wood scales on it.

I just shaved with it. It's a serious OMG! I promoted it to my rotation. It's a junk heap to pinnacle situation!

I have a Torrey in similar condition that I'm
getting ready to restore. They were made
in the city I live in, so I may keep it. They
seem to be available on ebay so I may get some
more to restore and sell. Good luck with yours.

I think was originally a 1/2 hollow ground. I took so much steel off it is probably a full hollow now.
It was cheap, but not easy????? I have heard that line somewhere before.

Thanks, Congrats on your 100th post!

I use flap wheels then hand sand, then Simichrome and polish with Maas. On this one I started with an 80 grit flap wheel. The sparks sure did fly.
