    Thanks, Robert...

It was actualy a relief to get rid of the stubble. I shaved once up there, but 5 or 6 days growth put's me in the "itch" phase... A little longer and that would disappear.
The shave felt great... My face felt, and feels great!

An extended rest for the face might be a good thing from time to time...

Razor: 5/8 Peroux-Cognet Le Talisman Frameback
    Cream: TOBS Lavender
    Brush: Vulfix 2235 Super Badger
After shave: Italian Floid and Rose hip oil

I love this new brush, it's been said that is too soft, but I could build a super rich lather with DR Harris hard soap

I've been eyeballin' one of those Vulfix 2235's myself... Sometimes a soft brush is just the ticket.

    Great photos, BTW!

    Thumbs up Great brush

    Donald,
I've got one of those Vulfix brushes...they are fantastic (floppy for sure, but very very soft). One just wants to keep lathering the face.

    Thanks for sharing

Ok, so this week (past week in 2 minutes) was insanely busy for me. I got my shaves in, even took some pics (some, I'm recycling 2 cause of no time). Tomorrow is a new week and I will make time for the SOTD. Thanks for all your contributions to the SOTD...you rock!

Thur, Fri, Sat: Prep=Hot shower, Strop= Rup Razor, Brush= TGN Silvertip custom. Scuttle: SRD

Thur: Razor=George Wostenholm genuine Pipe razor that I honed myself
Cream: C.O. Bigelow (I've been battling a cold and the Menthol really helps me feel better).
    AfterShave: C.O. Bigelow "Mentha" lotion
Result: BBS, gotta love those Wostenholms!

Fri: Razor=Genco "Easy Aces" (Freshly honed...I've been practicing and I think I nailed this one...WooHoo!)
Uberlather: Mama Bears "Polo Player" + Saint Charles Shave unscented Cream, 5 drops of Glycerin=soft pillows of fluff.
AfterShave: C.O. Bigelow "Mentha" (again the menthol really helps clear the sinuses)
Result: This will make my top 5 smoothest shaves of all time (only been doing the straight razor since February).

Sat: (Sorry for the recycled pic) Razor=Wostenholm Pipe Razor (different one than Thursday, but also touched up on the hones)
Uberlather: SRD Lime Soap, Saint Charles Shave Unscented cream, 5 drops of Glycerin.
    After Shave: Pinaud Clubman
Result: 1 small slice, the rest of the face very smooth.

Thanks guys for another awesome week of SOTD's! I'm honored to be a part of this thread! Here's to many more!

This was a big shave for me today because it was my first with a razor that I honed. I picked up this Engels for what everyone tells me was an obscenely low price. She's in excellent condition but her scales need to be repeened because they are loose. I started her on a Naniwa 1k to set my bevel and followed that with some circles and X-strokes on a Norton 4k then the same on the Norton 8k. I finished it with 50 laps using water only on a Coticule. Finally she got 15 turns using diamond spray on hard pressed felt, 40 turns on my Premium I paddle and this morning she got 50 linen and 100 leather on the Kanayama. This was my first attempt at honing, so I wasn't expecting the world and even stropped up a back-up just in case. In the end, she gave a very nice smooth shave. I don't pretend to be even remotely hone literate after a single attempt, but the fact that I could get a BBS shave with 3 passes and no knicks or cuts says that I must have done something right (or else it proves that even a blind squirrel can get a nut every once in a while)!

What a way to wind down the work week. Great pictures/shaves this week, gentlemen and thank you for letting me share!

    Razor: K.C.Seelbach "Buddy"
Brush: TGN 26mm Silvertip in Birdseye Maple
    Cream: Al's Calypso
    Post: Alum
    A.S.: Clubman Bay Rum
    Balm: Al's Calypso

Soooo smooth and so nice. An unreal shave with one of my favorite razors. May have gotten a little bay rum happy here but I loved it! I have 2 Seelbach razors and both are great shavers and lookers although my other gave me a couple headaches during its re-scale as some of you may have seen.
