Default Help with a Koken Razor

    Hello,
I am new here. I am completely ignorant about straight razors but I have my hands on one and cannot seem to find any information on it. The handle is black with either brass or copper bindings on the each end of it that has some curved engravings and a rivet in the middle. The blade says "Koken Companies" with "Solingen Germany" underneath it as well as some XXX patterns on each side of the writing. On the other side it has the word "Echo" but its in a cursive script so I'm assuming this is some kind of personalized engraving. Any idea of the age? Type? Value? Etc? Thanks

Koken was a very large and well known barber supply outfit. They sold everything and many classic barber bottles have their name on them. They didn't make the razor though. It was made by some generic razor maker in Germany but is still a quality razor.

Thanks. Any idea why it says Koken Companies on it? I was a bit confused because in my little research I saw that Koken was an American company but it said Germany underneath it. Any thoughts on why?

It is the same now-a-days think Ace Hardware brands made by various companies but packaged and stamped ACE...

Many of the Solingen razor makers made razors to spec for various companies and distributors

Ok, I get it. I see these vintage razors selling on the internet from like $10 to $300 - Do you have any educated guess on what range something like this would be in in the condition that it is in?

Sorry about that - not trying to solicit any business or get anything for free, was just purely curious - but now that I think about it, I understand the ethics.
