When it comes to kamisori, 45mm is no handicap at all. DE's are less than 40mm.

    @ Suits:

Standard size is 45mm, from all the ones I have seen (I have seen a lot), the larger ones are a lot more scarce

Got this one done today, not sure what the brand is.
Original restore , the tang is stamped "tamahagane" . The tamahagane stamped razors are all made from factory steel that, my guess is, is similar to the real stuff in composition. So far all that I have seen have hamon, so I thought I'd polish by hand and etch to see what kind of hamon will show up.
I did minimal buffing on the blade, most of the work was done by hand with Jnat slurries and the 1k/2k/10k WA powder, and finally metal polish.

I have seen several Daishi, they all also said "Iron Sand" and tamahagane on the tang, and the small stamp on the very end.
    Pretty hard tempered blades too.

And they (at least mine) shave like a dream.
It sharpens differently than other hard blades I've sharpened, arrgh don't know how to explain it but it got a smooth feel to it on the Nakayama.

Just had a nightly shave with the Tosho S.2, amazing razor, hard to shave when your laughing out loud at the same time.

Edit; Yes my Daishi also got "Iron Sand" and tamahagane on the tang, it also say Yasuki Steel.
