No, it is not. Actually, this small blades great for mustache area. If you are worrying about the “low” price of 50, well you really shouldn’t. That’s a great price.

I agree is a great price, my "worries" came because, as I explained in that thread, I saw they were intended for hair cutting, and I did not know if that made it a razor non appropiate for shaving....

    But thanks for the info!

Here's my first picture for the Filarmonica group.
Filarmonica #13 con cuerno negro de buffalo.
My favorite shaver so far. I bought it a while back off the 'bay along with some other mildly expensive razors, and this one out performed them all. I immediately gave it to our own Max to make it classy and now it's a one of a kind!

Here is my 2nd entry into the Club of the Filarmonica:
Filarmonica #14 Especial para Barbas Duras
Max let me take his for a test drive (shaving in front of someone else takes courage, don't kid yourself) and I was blown away by it. It will take some getting used to, but the learning curve won't be that steep at all, I could tell right away that this one has all the reasons for loving my #13, multiplied. I really hope to get it rescaled in the future, most likely in AZ Desert Ironwood, but I'm open to suggestions

Another Medallon Taurino. Note the different head than I showed before.

I'll post some pics of my Fillys this weekend.

All pics shown here are beauties! I seriously lust after that Especial Para Barbas Duras as well as the one Max worked up. Myself I have a new #13 with black scales, as well as a 5/8 with black scales I picked up on the bay. Trying to get a red scaled 13 as well as any color Especial Para Barbas Duras.

In any event, the story here is probably similar to many - I bought and tried over 200 types trying to find that perfect blade for my face shape and my horsehair beard. In the end, the #13 Filly and the larger W&Bs shave like nothing else can on my beard. Of the 2, the Fillys seem the most pleasing to look at and are just as good if not a better shave than the W&B. Since I can't decide which of the 2 are best, I'm using them both now exclusively. But I gotta say the Fillys are my favorite to sharpen and use.

Default Fil #14 - Especial Para Barbas Duras

Here is my new #14. Bought on the 'bay from Argentina, sent to Max to give it some real scales and make shave ready. These pics are taken by Max.

    That's sheer beauty Jeffus!

I still have to take pics but I've finally gotten 4 more Fillys in. The new arrivals are in red, brown, white, and gray scales. Looking at that photo though I'm thinking I may take the black scaled one and see what Mad Max can turn it into. I can't stop looking at those scales Jeffus!

Glad you like the scales. Mad Max is my RAD pimp, he has not done me wrong. He has another razor of mine in the queue: a western style Japanese straight purchased from ZethLent. The last one I purchased from Max was a 7/8 T. Hessen - going to be tough to figure out which one I like more, but will enjoy the competition. Hope you will post some pics of yours. --jeff
