I apologize for the linty pics, clearly I need a new microfiber cloth. ;-)
Used a single layer of tape on the spine during honing and the bevel is narrow and tight.
    (last pic is post honing).
Blades just shy of a full 8/8 and took an edge really, really well, hht passed with ease.
Looking forward to the test shave after work.
    Cheers gents.

Great job Mike! You do some nice work my friend.

    Thanks gents.
    Post shave results, BBS...
My biggest Butcher, and the first one I've added to this club restored by me. I do see the attraction for big old British steel now..
Learning with each go and grateful for all you who take the time to post your work.
Without you folks, I'd still be using my Braun electric..
    Cheers.

Yes - one of Valery's nicer artistic touches...I took a chance on this blade, was in pretty ruinous condition, but I thought it would clean up nicely, and am pleased the gamble paid off, very unique shaped blade IMO.

Amazing thread, my grandfather shaved with a W&B. It has been a quest for a few months now, to obtain a decent straight razor to refinish. Just won one on eBay today, got lucky refinished with horn scales. He didn't mention it was a W&B in the eBay ad...his bad. Got it for 60$ I will post flicks when it hits my mailbox!

Very nice, they all look like they would clean up very well, are the scales in good condition? Are they shave ready?

Particularly like the W&B with the thumb notch...
