A huge thanks to Tom for putting on the meet and all the work that went into it! And thanks to everyone that pitched in to make a memorable event! Also thanks to Charlie I am much more confident and comfortable with honing!

Meeting with local razor buds is a wonderful thing. Nothing beats one on one experience. I'm sure you all made some great connections today as well! Wish I was there! I can't wait to heard/see more from the meet!

A great meet up! Very thankful for the food and camaraderie. Really appreciate the giveaways and those that donated them. Thanks to those who added to the food, it was a fine fare. Thanks to Tom for hosting again. Was glad to see Bob Allman and Charlie Lewis and their fine work. Had a great deal of newer, younger, shavers in the mix. This made it especially good knowing that the passion for straights will keep going for a while.
All in all a very good time and I was glad to meet several of the folks that are on the forum. Diverse interests brought us to this point. Knife making, wood working and sharpening of the tools, strop making, and razor making. Hope that all meets will have such good results.

Good times! Missed Steve and Paul. Wished you guys could have come. We shall organize a strictly honing/shaving clinic here soon. We actually shot the breeze more than working on skills. Still, productive and fun.
Big shout out to those donating to the door prizes.
SRD, 4 soaps and a great strop, Kenrup, two cool strops and some honing certificates. Dograh, some soaps and ceeeeegars!,
Charlie for a sweet custom brush!, BobAllman for his custom razor, Wullie for several old Sheffies. I tossed in 3 honed razors and a few other things. I hope I have not forgotten anyone. If so, shout out! Great prizes! Everyone brought something. We had such a bounty. Plenty of bread salad, brisket, SirTexans AWESOME pork loins (4!), Beer! (Which i am polishing off just now). I honestly cannot know who brought some things, but we had it ALL! Helpful, friendly spirit. Razor guys are good guys.

    Without further adieu,

    I'm real bummed I couldn't make it....
Ended up spending my morning in the attic of my old house.
Being bent over and kneeling on the narrow side of a 2x4 has me hurting pretty bad...

I was there in spirit though, I cut my finger pretty good with a utility knife and got to thinking about y'all and the "cut of the day" thread.
