Default 5th Annual North Central Texas Razor Meet at Charlie Lewis Razor Workshop - 2017

    Hello all
It is once again time for all aspiring straight razor makers to join us for 5 days of razor forging and grinding heaven!

The dates this year are Feb 16-17-18-19-20

Most of us stayed at the Twilite Inn at a cost of $50/nite for double occupancy. A very good deal on a basic, clean room close to the workshop.

The place ... Burkburnett ,Texas. For the address just post in this thread and it will be sent to you.
Burkburnett is 120 miles due south of Oklahoma City and just over the state line into Texas.
It is also about 2 hours north of Dallas.

Charlie and me have spoken with a few people so far and
It looks like Bruno, our SRP Admin from Belgium will once again be joining us and I hope he brings along some of his Wootz and Damascus straight razors!

Howard Clark, a talented blade smith of razors, Japanese Katana/ Wakizashi and Tanto swords and knives may be attending again.

Mike Blue , a good friend of Howards, will be there. Mike is SRP's reference book for all things metallurgy and heat treating. He also is another very good knife, sword and razor maker. I was very sorry to see him move away from Minnesota. He may be attending again.

Lynn Abrams attended last year so I hope his schedule allows him to be here again.

I hope Bob Allman attends once again and Rolodave and 32T and our SRP Giveaway dude str8razor (Bill Watkins), Scott Goodman, Paco, bluesman7, thehattr, tcrideshd and all the rest.

Utopian said he will be there come 7734 or high water !

    More stuff later .....

This would be just over a 3 hour drive for me (under 3 if I take the Pony). I'm very interested.

Burkburnett Lodge No. 1027 AF&AM located at 119 W. Williams in Burkburnett, Texas, the Lodge meets on the First and
Third Mondays of each month at 7:30 pm. The 20th will be the 3rd Monday. It just keeps getting more interesting.

That'll be a good chunk of road from the Twin Cities. I've got friends in Windom and near Santiago,
made the same trip a few times myself. Finest fishing memories I have are wetting a line in the
headwaters of the Mississippi. It will be good to meet you as well, sir.
