Default Triangle Area NC 27 Feb 2016 Get Together

    27 Feb 2016 Get Together

It's Official!! Triangle Area Get Together 27 Feburary 2016 Carolina Brewery Pittsboro, NC about 10:30am until about 3:00pm

It will be mostly about honing but we may have a few few demonstrations about pinning, scale making, etc.. All are welcome. If you wish bring a few items you wish to trade, sell, give away and we will have time and space for that. However that isn't the main idea of the get together. Looking forward to seeing everybody then. Please advise either Nipper (Joe Neer) or Lindyhop66 (Robert Smith) if you plan on attending.

Not sure if I will have a hand turned brush by then completed but maybe the next meet to give away if we do a drawing! Working on wine stoppers now. But then again, maybe a hand made wine stopper would make for a great drawing gift as well!

We shall see. But plan on being there for sure.

I do have a stone I want you and Richard to look at Joe I bought some time back that was claimed/purported to be from the Thuringian quarry??? None the less, a great little stone I bought from Germany!

    Hello TC-

I use to live in western NC and rode with a lot of co-workers all over TN, VA, KY, and into SC. I had a Triumph Tiger that I dearly loved. No longer ride but still have fond memories of tackling the "Tail of the Dragon"!

Yes it is a great place to ride, one of my favorite. Usually stay in Robbinsville, and take 3 days just putting around the hills, then go over the skyway back into Tn and home. Keep the shiny side up Tc

Small world! When I used to live in central Virginia (Charlottesville) I used to ride down the Blue Ridge Parkway into North Carolina quite a bit. It's been about 15 years since my last trip, 10 of them back home in New Hampshire working as a Harley tech. I'm retired now and don't ride anymore because of health issues, but I sure did love making that run!

I don't know yet if I can make the meetup, was planning on overnighting with my wife's cousin in Cary if I did. However Sunday is my mother-in-law's 87th birthday and I really can't miss that! I should know more of what the plans are by next weekend and will post if I can make it.

Here's my last ride, a 2006 FLHXI the day I rode her home:

    Hello sqz-

Love that shade of blue! My Tiger was very close to hat color as well just a tad lighter. Wish I could find my photos of that beast! Maybe I will and can post up.
