    Hello, and welcome to Robin's Basic German for Shavers.

    Rostfrei (pronounce Rost-fry)
    Hohlschliff (just pronounce )

    I thought it was ZO-lin-gen...interesting!

    And how about Ansatzhohlspiegel? I LOOOOOVE compound word sin German.

    Are you sure it isn't Bergicsher Lowe?

    Absolutely. The Bergicsher Lowe is a totally different razor. Cheap Pakistani copy. Looks like a Bergischer Löwe, but shaves like a Chronik.

    Thank you for doing this guys. I may not be German, but my family sure is and I have been studying it for 7 years (including 3 as part of my major in college) and I absolutely hate the way German words get butchered on a regular basis. In fact, I just took my German final for the semester...

    For those who don't know German, enjoy what I believe to be the most helpful thing ever:

    ie: just pronounce the e
    ei: just pronounce the i

    90% of the time people butcher that due to the stupid way we use the two in English.

    Oh, and z sounds like ts

    schleifen (to hone)
    der Abziehriemen (strop)
    der Hängeriemen (hanging strop)
    abledern (to strop)
