    Default Concept2 Indoor Rowers

My new indoor rower -- a Concept2 Model "D" -- arrived today. I had three, previously, but had to sell each one when I moved (trans-continental shipping costs $$$). This one is a beauty! After a six-month break, my first workout was difficult, but enjoyable.

I've been rowing since 1/2002, with a bit under 7-million meters-rowed. Any other indoor rowers, here on SRP?

Nice! Started Rowing in 1999. Whenever we screwed up in the boat we had to do a 5k on the ergs when we got back to the boathouse...so i guess it's more of a painful memory. The coaches forced us to use the bicycle wheel antique if we really pissed them off. I still jump on the ergs in the gym (if they have them). Great Buy!

Me & my manager bought the exact same one to do some lunch time workouts on, now we have got a challenge on, who can do the fastest 5000mtrs.
I am currently leading (just) 24:23 resistance set at 6.

Rowing realy is a great all round workout

Just picked up a "D" last month, still getting acclimated. I currently do 5k per day, 5 days per week.

    Nice rower!

I've had an indoor rower for 2 years, it's a water rower (large disc like tub at the end with water and paddles). It the closest I've found to the real thing.

    Good for you!

After a long layoff (w/resulting weight-gain), I'm back in the saddle... again. I row multiple segments of 2K, followed by a 2:30 rest... lather, rinse, repeat. First week two, then three, and now four segments. I row at an "old man's" pace -- 2:40-2:50/500m, but that's OK. Perhaps once I've lost the weight and regained the strength/stamina I once had, I'll be able to return to a 2:30 pace.

Do you keep a personal logbook on the Concept2 website? Are you "affiliated" with one of the many real or virtual rowing teams? I'm captain of "Row Pain, Row Gain", and we're always looking for members.

I just keep track of my logbook on the memory card right now, but I'm thinking about picking up RowPro- do you have any experience with the program? I'm pretty sure it would allow me to automatically post to the C2 site.
