That sure is a nice collection, Buckeye. Unfortunately the few cast iron pans I have are back in Australia. I don't collect them, however, but every home needs a couple.
    Do you use them all?

Ive been breaking in a cast iron pan since February. Still dont have it shiny black and completely nonstick, and I cook in it a great deal. I dont know why i dont have that shiny black smooth bottom yet. I would figure that in eight months time I would have been close by now.

I've got a Griswold 12 which is huge AFAIC with the lid and a Wapak hollow ware with a beautiful Indian head on the bottom side. The Gris is like yours with the cross in a circle on the bottom.

I just got done restoring a Wagner for my daughter. I wouldn't say I collect them. I just use them. However when my wife's folks hit their late 80s and asked their 8 kids and the kids spouses and descendants to start working out who wanted to inherent what from all of their possessions the only thing my wife and I asked for was the set of cast iron skillets that my wife's Mother had inherited from her mother. I just prefer cooking in them.

Ooooooo - nice! I have a nice collection of cast iron skillets and gumbo pots myself. Pitch black and non stick. I wouldn't trade them for anything. Except possibly a DD Grim Reaper.

Nothing better than cast iron, the best heat distribution, flavor and cleanup. I absolutely abhor modern non-stick crap!
