    here are a few I have heard over the years

    Cadillac = Blue Hair
    Convertible Cadillac = Blue hair in Florida / Tempe
    Opel GT = Poor Man Vette
    Minivan = Soccer Mom
    SUV = Soccer Dad
    1/2 ton pickup = Working Man
    3/4 ton Pickup = Wanna look like a working man
    Lifted truck = Hillbilly
    New Subaru = Liberal or Libro-ru
    Old Subaru = Lezbo-ru
    Really Old Subaru = Old Hippy
    Lifted Jeep = Maniac
    New Jeep SUV = Used to be a Maniac when younger
    Black Van = Stalker
    White Van = Serial killer / Child molester
    Blue Van = Smart Stalker
    Black Suburban = G-Man / Men in Black
    Crown Vic = Cop
    Older Crown Vic = Retired Cop

    That's all I could think of off hand...

    All in jest of course..

    My first car was a 50s Land Rover, donated by my Grandpa from his farmyard. Scared the jeepers out of the other lads at school when I drove in across the rugby field. But then they were Porsche & Ferrari driving sons of merchant bankers. The school groundsman thought it was hilarious & helped me keep it running for the next two years.

    Now I do not drive. I just feel very smug & superior while I stand waiting for the bus as the drivers fume at the traffic. Does that count?

    Oh the works Cooper is a rocket. Just a pity it is not a real old John Cooper 1175. They were both awesome & scary

    I drive one of the most head scratching vehicles Canada ever built for GM- a custom ordered 1990 1/2 ton Scottsdale sport truck with a heavy duty towing package. The guy who ordered it didn't take delivery. I've been told that parts I've pulled off of it myself never existed, a lot of parts can't be found for it anymore, and it runs through clutch systems like none other.

    I'm not sure what it means. I've hauled tractors and cars with it, but I imagine that the only thing I'll be hauling for a while now is ass I imagine that my new neighbors in Colorado will take it to mean that I'm an Okie (which I am). At least it's not lifted, right?

    I ride a Buell Blast, aka the cheap, sporty Harley. It means I like the thrill of riding but can't afford anything with two cylinders.

    My other car is a Dodge Caliber (SWMBO's car really). Feel free to fill me in on what that means. I picked it out because it was a good all around car and the little bugger has been growing on me ever since.

    I have been driving: Lada Samara, Peugot 405, Ford Sierra and now a Camaro.

    That exact combination actually makes me a man among men and an awesome person
