If worst comes to worst, I can always turn it into a shorty. The crack is about an inch from the toe so there will still be a usable amount of blade left.

I guess I’ll try to hone it up and try it out. I have to admit that the thought of shaving with a crack like that creeps me out.

That is a damn fine repair Paul. You have to really look hard to see where the break occurred.

It may be because you told us of it’s history, but that blade is already looking a bit intimidating.

We all get thrilled when we find a razor like that and put in some love, sweat and time to bring it back to how it might have looked when new. And...

That hurts. The blade itself still looks very good and there is still a lot of the tang left. It would be a shame to retire it before trying to bring it back.
