You put all that work into it only to put a spacer on the scales versus a wedge...why? It's a good looking restoration, but I had to ask.

Also, note the smell when you open the sealed container. Once you smell it, it will be imprinted as cellrot or the beginnings of in your noggin'.

I have never heard of using 440c on razors, interesting. I understand it's a good steel for knives. Have you used it for razors before? Hows it hold up? How hard would you estimate it?

Bruno, I too like the hammered finish straight from the fire...it's my pick.

Was trying for a hamon with 1095, it's there, just don't know how well it will look until I get back to the grinder.
