    Aloha!

Unbeknownst to me I had this lovely collector's tin of Proraso products in the mail. Mahalo to the gift-giver for this one!

This beauty of a Wade & Butcher just showed up. Bought on FB from a fellow new member. Great shape and the etch is awesome. 5/8 just awesome. Needs a bit of attention there are a few nicks by the heel and one broken scale but she is gonna be a treat.

awasedo stone (full size stone) and 3 set nagura with a tomo as well. Now I can go coti/thuri from my chosera or large jnat/small finishing jnat depending on how I am feeling and what my razor is wanting to be honed on. RAD and HAD are done, hopefully I don't catch anything else for awhile...but if you have suggestions At that moment I am where shaves are awesome and everything is slowly just getting better and better with honing experience improving and shaving technique...good times

About the HAD, I'm suffering an allergic reaction to letters from the bank, I know the postman is coming soon, and that statement is going to have my recent jnat purchases in it. I say it because I bought it in US dollars. To you non Australian viewers, a 380 buck US is mid 500's. It hurts more in my dollars. Now back to that thing I was doing. An Ozuku...... No....no....maybe a Nakayama.....ahhhh.

    H. Boker and co. 3/4 Damascus magnetic steel. It arrived yesterday, the condition is pretty good, should clean up excellent. Couldn't be happier, it showed up quickly and looks way better than the pics that were posted for the sale. Could be why I picked it up so cheap.Name: IMG_0402.jpg

What a joy to the senses it is! The smells are great, and I'm really eager to try them all on a brush.
Well, I was impatient of course, and have immediately tried the balm: the smell was greatly refreshing, one could really feel aloe-vera and menthol in it, and, as Manuel had indeed promised, it didn't leave any oily residue on the skin. I'm very impressed: perfect balance of sandalwood, aloe-vera and menthol - both olfactory and to the feel.

How many of those hollow Wade and Butchers now Eric? It seems you have found a focus. Once you find you happy spot why not.

I do not follow Jnats at all, but I do understand the currency issue. I did manage to get the majority of my stuff when the CAD was above or near par. Now I just cringe, the prices are up and the CAD is down.

Paul that looks like an easy clean and hone. I find if the jumps are very dirty and rusty that they are easiest cleaned with the scales removed, even if steel wool and mother is all that the rest of the blade needs.
