Default Fat Boy for nothing. I love me a good deal!

Got this Fat Boy For almost nothing. I tried to explain what a great deal it was to my with, but I got a blank stare. I figured I the guys on SRP might share my enthusiasm. Looks to be in good shape too. It should arrive today.

Congrats. I have been using a Fatboy for those quick morning shaves the last few months. Good razor.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

I can only share your enthusiasm for the good deal and thoughts of happy shaves. The link is not working so I am without the pictures and thus without envy.

Poor little fellow needs a bath, but I'm sure it'll clean up. I'll post another pic after it gets the spa treatment.

That one might be a handful to get back together ,, as much rust as I,m seeing , I hope the mechanism of it work,, Good luck ,, I shaved with one for over 40 years till I got into straights , still take it out once in a while Put a feather blade on the 9 settings. Pretty close shave. Tc

Do you do that while standing in lava too!?!? Sounds dangerous!
    State v. Durham, 323 N.W. 2d 243, 245 (Iowa 1982) (holding that a straight razor is per se a "dangerous weapon").

Same as Tc, Fat Boy/Feather set @ 9 for a very close shave. Just need a light touch and watch your Ps&Qs.

I'm pretty sure it's built up soap scum. The dark colors are on the low spots on the knurling and the nickel plating looks OK on the high spots. But you never really know with ebay. If it doesn't come out well I'm only out ten bucks.

Hot water soak, scrubbing bubbles, scrub brush with MASS, polisher with rouge, final scrub with dish soap and repaint numbers & stripe. Came out nice!

You may have a new calling as a Fat Boy restorer...
    Nice clean up...
