    Good Saturday morning...

Wald Solingen Es-Ese 5/8 and '51 Black Tip w/Gillette "swede"
    Edwin Jagger BBB
    Arko Limon sc
    Thayers Original WH w/ aloe
    Musgo Real ASB
    C&E Sandalwood EDT

After a day off from shaving, a decent first pass with the straight and a very nice second and third pass with the Black Tip. No irritation from the "Swede" today...perhaps after a few shaves it calms down for me...I am still struggling with stropping and I left another nick at the bottom of the strop (ARGHHHH!!!) despite my caution...otherwise, a fine way to start the day

Thanks. Today was sort of a "test shave." I touched it up on an old escher one of the members was kind enough to part with and boy, was it smooth.

Thats one of the best looking framebacks i've seen. I have a Engstrom brass frameback, and the more I use it, the more I love it.

This reminds me to get my other one to KenRup for a restore.

    Saturday

    Razor: 6/8 Boker "King Kutter"
    Brush: Plisson #10 HMW
    Soap: Floris No.89 (tallow version)
A/S: DR Harris a/s milk (old)
    Edt: Floris No.89

Really nice shave today, I need to concentrate more on making all my shaves this enjoyable. I tend to spend too much time with what end up being IMO inferior products. My goal the rest of the year is to get rid of anything that I don't thoroughly enjoy using.

    Saturday 4/11
    • Penchetta Penworks Redwood Burl Silvertip
    • Godrej Menthol Mist
    • 6/8 Geo. Wostenholm & Sons Double Concave Celebrated IXL
    • Thayer's A/F Original
    • La Toja Splash

Result: A little burn showed up later in the day...but a successful 2 pass "good enough for work" shave. I'm slowly getting the hang of this straight razor thing....slowly.
